Short but technically interesting circular trail with a view of Pizzo Campo Tencia, the highest mountain on Ticino soil. From the centre of Molare, you reach the central part of the Carì ski area. First on a single trail and then on the road, you descend to the starting point.
From the centre of Molare, which can be easily reached by postbus, the tranquil cantonal road leads gently uphill to the starting point of the Carì ski lifts. The next 300 metres in altitude to the middle station Brusada/Carì 2000 can be covered on the gravel road, which serves as a downhill run in winter. If you don't want to pedal uphill, take the chairlift here (depending on the season, please note the operating times).
At the top, there is a single trail that you share with hikers. The descent leads past Tic Cattaneo, where you make a hairpin bend. An asphalt road takes you back to Carì and then down to the starting point. On the way, you can see the Pizzo Campo Tencia. At 3072 metres, it is the highest mountain to be found exclusively on Ticino soil.
The trail is not particularly difficult and very pleasant to ride. The scenery with beautiful fir forests, small lakes and idyllic clearings can be enjoyed extensively. Nevertheless, it is an advantage especially for beginners, if they already know the terrain in order to choose the most favourable track. Either way, you should ride carefully, especially in passages where there are steps close by.
