Tour description

The splendid Romanesque church of San Carlo in Negrentino gives its name to this interesting suggestive route in the middle Blenio Valley. You ride without technical difficulties on paved roads, paths and comfortable dirt stretches across the towns of Corzoneso, Leontica and Ponto Valentino. The route is suitable for bikers of all ages, who want a varied route on which they can feel at ease, despite the 800 m difference in altitude to overcome. It starts in the church square in Dongio towards Scaradra. Climb up the secondary road with comfortable bends up to Corzoneso, where you proceed on country roads to Cumiasca and Leontica. Once arrived in the parking lots of the Nara tourist station, you reach the church of Negrentino by crossing a spectacular footbridge over the Ri stream in Prugiasco. The route proceeds with short climbs and descents towards Ponto Valentino from where, on an easy mule track, you reach the plain of Castro. After crossing the bridge over the Brenno river, you proceed southwards, alongside the campsite and along the Satro old dirt road to reach the starting point again.
